Changed Motorcycle Coverage for Winter? Don't Forget Spring

Motorcycle ready to leave a garage on a sunny spring day.

You know the day. The sun is out, the roads are finally dry and the motorcycle has been sitting in the garage all winter.

If you changed the insurance when you put the bike away, that first warm day is exactly when it's easiest to forget.

The simplest habit is to make two decisions at the same time. If you talk with your agent about a seasonal change in the fall, put a reminder in your phone for spring before the call is over.

Then, before you ride, call and review what needs to change for the bike to be back in use.

The same idea applies to other seasonal vehicles. If something changes because the vehicle is truly being stored, make sure you have a plan for putting the insurance back where it needs to be before you use it again.

Because when the open road is calling your name, insurance is probably not what you're thinking about.
